Experience the incredible starry skies above Northumberland with astronomers from the Kielder Observatory stargazing team at the Twice Brewed Inn. Located within the protected Dark Sky park, the venue benefits from minimal light pollution, meaning you’ll have a clear view of the Milky Way arching across the sky and see thousands more stars than can normally be spotted from towns and cities.

Places such as Wallington, Cragside (pictured) and Gibside are perfect for relaxed and interesting days out, with beautiful gardens, woodland walks and plenty of Northumberland history to explore.

Walking, Biking and Exploring

There are countless walking routes right on your doorstep, from gentle countryside strolls to more challenging hikes. You don’t always need to travel far - some of the best moments come from simply stepping outside and exploring the surrounding area. National Cycle routes 10 and 68 or both nearby.
