Northumberland is a beautiful county with magnificent scenery and steeped in history. There will be some leaflets in the hut of places that you may wish to visit.
Hadrian’s Wall: You cannot come to this part of Northumberland without a visit to Hadrian’s Wall. This is a World Heritage site. The Wall is about 2 miles from Chishillway Shepherds Huts. (see leaflets for more information about sites to visit)
Kielder Water and Kielder Observatory: Kielder is England’s largest forest and the biggest man-made lake in Northern Europe. This area is also famous for its ‘Dark Skies’.
